About Geocontrole

Founded in 1975 Geocontrole is nowadays one of the major companies in the geotechnical scenery in Portugal. With sustained growth, it has become a top reference on the market. Geocontrole started its activity by providing geotechnical ground investigation services, laboratory of soils and rocks mechanics, and in 2000 also expanded into the area of special foundations and geotechnical engineering works.

As part of a business area with a strong component of innovation and knowledge, Geocontrole has been investing in the latest technologies on an ongoing basis, some of which assuming exclusiveness in the national market. The company has, since 2002, a Research and Development Department (R&D), and has promoted several projects, sometimes in partnership and close collaboration with public organizations and agencies.

In order to meet the clients expectations, Geocontrole focused its organization and managing efforts in the establishment of a Quality Management System (QMS), according to the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 standard and certified by TUV Rheinland, in the scope of Control and Monitoring of civil construction works, performance of Soils Mechanics Laboratory Testing, Geotechnical Construction Works, Geotechnical Consultancy and Design, and Site Investigation Services.

Beyond this system, Geocontrole Soil and Rock Mechanics Laboratory also has several tests accredited according to the NP EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard.

Currently, Geocontrole is fully structured with highly qualified professionals to work in several fields of consultancy and geotechnical investigation, special foundations, observation and geotechnical instrumentation, materials quality control and soil, rock and concrete mechanics laboratory testing.

It has offices in Mozambique and Brazil and has carried out projects in 3 continents, in a total of 13 countries.
